AMAVU N'AMAVUKO

IBITARO BY'AKARERE KA NYARUGENGE ni ibitaro bigezweho, bitangizwa na Minisiteri y’ubuzima ku nkunga y’Ubwami bw’Ububiligi binyuze muri Gahunda ya Ubuzima Burambye hamwe n'Akarere ka Nyarugenge. 

Biherereye mu Mudugudu w' INTWALI, Akagari ka CYIVUGIZA, Umurenge wa NYAMIRAMBO, Akarere ka NYARUGENGE, UMUJYI WA KIGALI, kuri 8Km uvuye i Nyabugogo, 5Km uvuye mu  karere k’ubucuruzi ka Kigali, 15Km uvuye i Mageragere na 4Km uvuye i Karama mu gace kamwe ka sitasiyo na Kigali PELE Stadium munsi gato ku ryanyuma (Bus park), ibitaro bikaba bitanga serivisi ku barwayi bagera kuri 242,000 n'amavuriro abishamikiyeho.

Icyiciro cya mbere cyo kubaka ibitaro, kigizwe n’ibitanda 120, cyarangiye kandi gitangira gukora kuva mu Kwakira 2020, byatangiye bitanga na serivisi ku barwayi ba COVID-19 hagati ya 08 Mutarama 2021, na 01 Ugushyingo 2021.

Imirimo yo kubaka ibitaro yatangiye ku ya 14 Mutarama 2018, ikaba yarangiye ku ya 22 Nyakanga 2020, n’umushinga uhuriweho n’umushinga w’ubwubatsi w’Ubushinwa (CCECC) na Horizon Construction Ltd. 

Igishushanyo mbonera  cy'ibitaro cyakozwe na MASS DESIGN GROUP, bikozwe mu nyubako ebyiri kugeza kuri eshatu. Ibi bitaro byubatswe mu buryo bwujuje ubuziranenge bituma biba icyitegererezo cy'ibitaro by'Akarere mu Rwanda. 

Inyubako y'ibitaro igizwe ni ibyiciro bibiri. Uyu munsi, icyiciro cya I cyararangiye, gifite ibitanga by'abarwayi 120 hamwe n'ibikoresho byuzuye kandi byujuje ubuziranenge n'abakozi biteguye gutanga serivisi z'ubuzima mu gace ibitaro bihereyemo n'amavuriro abishamikiyeho.

Ibikoresho na Serivisi

Ibitaro by'Akarere birakora neza, bifite ibitanda 200 na serivisi zikurikira:

1. Serivisi y'Ubutabazi bwihutirwa (Emergency): Emergency Care Unity, Observation Care Unit, Minor Surgery, Ambulance Services).

2. Servisi yo kubaga: Surgical ward, Theatre room and Recovery room (Maternity), Sterilization (Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD)& Laundry.

3. Gynecology/Obstetrics Department: Antenatal, Labour/Delivery, Postpartum care and Family planning

4. Pediatrics Department: General Pediatric Ward, Neonatology Services

5. Internal Medicine Department: Female ward, Male ward, Isolation room for TB.

Additional services include:

1. Ambulatory/Out Patient Department (OPD): General medical Consultation & NCDs, Specialized medical Consultation (Dermatology Clinic, Pediatrics, Gynecology-Obstetrics), Stomatology/ Dental services, Ophthalmology services/ Vision Center , ARTs, Isange One Stop Center, Irangamimerere (CRVS), Mental health/Clinical Psychology (OPD and Inpatient)

2. Clinical Support Services:

Reception, Archive, Pharmacy Services, Medical Imaging Services, Clinical Laboratory Services, Physiotherapy Services, Nutrition and rehabilitation Service

Catchment Area and Referral System

Nyarugenge District Hospital serves as a referral center for six health centers and Nyarugenge correctional facility within its catchment area:

1. Mwendo Health Center

2. Butamwa Health Center

3. Biryogo Health Center

4. Kabusunzu Health Center

5. Nyarurenzi Health Center

6. Rugarama Health Center

7. Nyarugenge correctional facility 

Digital Health Infrastructure

The hospital operates a comprehensive Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system known as OpenClinic, ensuring efficient, accurate, and secure management of patient data and clinical operations.
